Potty Training - Day 4

The most frustrating day so far. To start things off, I had a temperature of 100.5. Fine. Not bad enough to put me off full capacity (as if I had a choice,) but bad enough to make me feel pretty miserable.

There were a couple of successes, though, and I need to make note of them before I run myself down in the Mire. [Flashback to The Never Ending Story, "No Artex, No!"] She woke up at 12:30 am needing to go potty. She didn't make it to the bathroom, of course, but she made it out of her room. Same thing at 6 am. Unfortunately she didn't want to go back to sleep after that. I had already been up for an hour with the baby. Fun times.

Well, she's less resistant today to sitting on the toilet. That's good. She wore padded underpants in the morning and had a huge accident. I put her down for her nap in pull-ups. That was when my husband got home.

I had though we were on the same page, but hah. As far from it as possible. The best quote: "She has a little pee in her diaper," [it was not a diaper, it was a pull-up.] "Should I change it?"

Apparently he just wants her to wear an expensive type of diaper. This has to be resolved or we're going nowhere.

The score for today:
0 potty
1 floor
6 pull-ups

I found another self-purported potty training guide, this one selling for $38.

This one was less sales-y at first, so I was tempted. That is, until I got to the line "This offer is only good until midnight tonight." What do you think I am, a toddler myself? A little quick research turned out a bit more interesting information. The guide states that it is an interview with a leading potty training expert, Suzy Mor. Google '"Suzy Mor" potty'. The only thing you get are references to this guide. Ok, well, try "toilet" instead of "potty." Same thing. If she was such an expert, don't you think she'd be quoted at least a little? SOMEWHERE on the internet? The other name it mentions is the writer of the site, Dr. Wayne Jensen. His name turns up a few more places on the internet. But again, only in connection with this guide.

Wow, apparently parents are pretty desperate when it comes to this potty-training thing.
