Today just proved how much this potty-training thing is MOM-DIRECTED. I had to take my baby to the doctor today, so I wasn't around the house very much when Katie was awake. We had ZERO successes. Oh well.
Tomorrow we leave to visit my husband's family, so I think that we'll have to put most of the effort on hold for a week. We'll see.
Funny story about Ellie's doctor visit, though. I fed her about half an hour before we left, then the drive is about half an hour. Surprisingly, when we got there she was dry. I noticed, but didn't think quickly enough. I should have held her over the sink or something, because a few seconds after the diaper was off, about the amount of time it would have taken me to get her on the potty, she released a large amount of urine. All over everywhere. I was embarrassed, of course, but it also made me realize that maybe this potty-training thing is actually working for my 4-month-old. I really didn't expect it to actually work, I was more just having fun. Pretty amazing. We'll see how it goes.
