Today was a meltdown day. She woke up a little later than usual, with a very wet diaper. I was glad of the extra sleep for both of us though.
At some points during the day she was willing to sit on the toilet. At other points she was quite resistant, but at no point did she produce anything. It's a good thing that my baby is now peeing a pooping in the potty, or I would be almost beyond despair. I just can't let Katie know that Ellie is using the potty. What could be worse than finding out your 3-month-old sister is not only using your potty, but actually producing?
We tried putting underwear under her pull-ups, in an attempt to have hear feel the wetness. So far it hasn't made any difference at all. She had a total melt-down when I tried to get her to sit on the potty after her nap. When we got everything calmed down, I let her watch 1 1/2 hours of Dora while I cooked dinner. I feel like a terrible mom.
She was in bed at a normal time tonight, before 7:30, and we decided not to go in at all, no matter what. She stopped calling "Mommy!" at about 8:30. But she's asleep now, probably with a wet pull-up. Need I repeat the last sentence of the last paragraph?
