Potty Training - Day 19

Today was not a good day. I ended up pretty upset at her. So upset that I had to leave the room to calm myself down. Ug. The funniest thing, though, is that I was upset even though

I THINK WE HAD SOME PROGRESS!

In the morning, she wet her pull-up. She looked at me as she was doing it, and said "poopie!" So I rushed her to the bathroom. Of course it was too late, but she recognized it and was willing to go the the bathroom. Then tonight after dinner we sat on the potty. She said that she tinkled. She got up and looked, and sure enough, there was a little sprinkle in the bottom. The thing is, though, that I don't know if she made the sprinkle, or if it was leftover from Ellie. Ellie filled the potty half a dozen times today, including a poop. So if the sprinkle truly was Katie, then it was fantastic progress. I have a hard time getting excited if I'm not sure. After the sprinkle, she tried for a little while longer. But less than a minute after we put the pull-up back on, she wet. Then a few minutes later she convinced my husband to take her back (he didn't know what had been going on.) She passed gas on the potty and called it a tinkle. That has potential.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day. I am hoping to have her outside without a pull-up. My husband doesn't think it will work, but I'm feeling a little desperate.
